Essence of Orange Blossoms is derived from a special type of flowering orange tree that grows wild in the Mediterranean. The source of the essence is the highly aromatic, exotic smelling blossoms of a medicinal type of orange tree, which is entirely different from the commercial type. The essence has been used as a health aid and tonic for centuries although, incredibly until now it was little know in America.

Since ancient times this blossom essence has been utilized as a health aid as well as a cosmetic. The medicinal orange is one of the most heavily researched of all citrus plants. German researchers discovered that orange blossom extract helped relax constricted bronchial tracts; thus it is soothing to irritated respiratory tracts. Furthermore, they found that it acts as a tonic for the muscles of the intestines, which may account for its prolonged folk use as a digestive aid and as a remedy for halting diarrhea.
